Our Chess Day! workshops are available for most no-school days. Unless otherwise noted all workshops are at our primary location,
222 South Prospect, Park Ridge, IL 60068.
There are many reasonable enrichment programs in the marketplace for children K-8. these programs expose children to chess and provide an opportunity to have a lifelong interest or hobby.
At Caveman Chess, we’re not just about chess enrichment. We’re about education. Our programs are designed to provide a comprehensive chess education to students of all ages, from K-12 to adults. We believe that chess is for everyone, whether you’re just starting or ready to take your skills to the next level, we have a program for you.
While many programs tout the educational benefits of chess, enrichment programs can only hint at those benefits. One cannot understand how the game theory of chess applies to business strategy if one does not sufficiently understand chess to understand those strategies. It was the first World Champion, Steinitz, who first studied these concepts and culled the concepts from his predecessors, primarily Morphy. However, Steinitz’s concepts are never mentioned in most enrichment programs. To understand the more profound meaning and transfer skills, one must commit to deeper learning.
